Compassionate Care Visits
During the COVID-19 pandemic Rocky Knoll will allow compassionate care visits, per CMS guidelines for qualifying individuals. Visits will be approved on a case by case basis by the Interdisciplinary team. About Rocky Knoll's State Grant Application
Rocky Knoll is in the process of applying for a State Grant to be used for updating equipment, renovating resident rooms in the B-Building, and remodeling the Dining and Activity rooms on the Ground Floor.
Resident Visiting Booth
Rocky Knoll recognizes the desire for residents to visit with their family and friends. We know that the past few months have been difficult on our residents and their families as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions. In order to enhance our resident’s quality of life and bring smiles to their faces and yours, Rocky Knoll has constructed an outdoor visiting booth.
Current Projects: Nature Trail and Path
To encourage residents and visitors to enjoy the beauty of Rocky Knoll’s property, the Rocky Knoll Foundation is supporting the expansion of the existing walking path.
Current Projects: Continuing Education Program
The Rocky Knoll Foundation is committed to assisting employees of the Health Care Center to pursue an education that results in certification, recertification, licensure, or a degree that is directly related to Nursing home operations.
Completed Projects: Life Enrichment Through Music
A program funded through the national Well-Tuned music grant and matching funds from the Rocky Knoll Foundation is aiding the Life Enrichment department by providing music through iPods and iTunes downloads.
Completed Projects: Blanket Warmer
Located in the short-term Rehabilitation unit is a blanket warmer with the capacity for 30 bed-size blankets purchased from funds donated to the Foundation.
Dropping off Items for Residents and “Window” Visits
On March 12, 2020 Rocky Knoll restricted all nonessential visitation to help protect our residents from Covid-19. We know that this has been difficult for residents and families, but it has been perhaps the biggest factor contributing to the reason that as of date we have NO positive cases of Covid-19 at Rocky Knoll. We are doing our best to keep it that way!
Life Enrichment at Rocky Knoll
Our Life Enrichment department provides our residents with a wide variety of exciting social events. Each month an events calendar is created and handed out to residents showing all of the events available that month. There are daily activities held on each unit as well as many special events and entertainment options.
