ROCKY KNOLL'S FACILITY & HISTORY IN CARE
When you require short-term rehabilitation or are selecting a long-term care facility, the quality of the facility, and the compassion of the staff, and the available amenities play an important part in your care. Our resident’s peace-of-mind and wellness are central to all we do.
Our team is dedicated to providing the best care, treating our residents with special attention and personal concert. Additionally, our facility in Sheboygan County offers amenities and services that set us apart and enrich the lives of our residents.
We have a rich history of providing care for Sheboygan County. Through the years, the emphasis of people in our care has changed, but our foundation has and always will be “Innovation with Compassion.” As health care continues to evolve, we will lead the way in new areas of service and care.
August 1926
Rocky Knoll Health Care Center began in August 1926 as a facility to care for Sheboygan County residents diagnosed with tuberculosis.
1950’s
By the 1950’s, advances in medical treatments eliminated the need to have a facility dedicated to that type of care so began focusing on caring for seniors. Soon after the passage of Medicare/Medicaid legislation in 1965, we began to provide services to Medicare-eligible guests.
Additions Starting in 1972
There have been three significant additions to our facility: in 1972 the two story west building was constructed, in 1992 the north building, and, in 2002 which is now dedicated to short term rehab.
2022 Present
Today we are licensed to serve up to 149 residents, providing short-term rehabilitation and long-term care that meet residents' individual needs.
