Ramona Walsdorf joins Rocky Knoll as the 2N and part of 1 West Area Nurse Manager. Ramona was part of one of the first certified nursing assistant classes Rocky Knoll conducted in September 1987. She worked at Rocky Knoll as a CNA from December 1987 until January of 2005 during which time she obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing. Ramona worked for Homestead Care Center in New Holstein for 13 years as a floor nurse, day shift charge nurse, MDS Coordinator, and also interim DON for a short period of time. Most recently she worked as MDS Coordinator at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary for the past six years. Ramona obtained her RAC-CT certification in August of 2021.
Ramona is married to her husband Red, they share a daughter, Kellie, and a pug named Buster. In her free time, Ramona likes to spend time in the northwest woods (Buffalo County), being with family and friends, reading, puzzles, playing bingo, and making jam.
Ramona states that long term care is her passion and she looks forward to seeing the residents and their families. Every day is a new day to do something kind. "It's the little things that mean the most."
