Janine Bolz joined the Life Enrichment team at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center initially on February 27, 2017. On March 11, 2019 she took over the Department as the Director.
Janine graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in 1990 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy. She is a registered Music Therapist with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Safety and Professional Services. Advanced Activity Professional –Board Certified through the National Association of Activity Professionals Credentialing Center. Activity Director Certified through National Certification Council for Activity Professionals. Dementia Specialist and Challenging Behavioral Specialist Train the Trainor through the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Dementia Capable Wisconsin. She completed her internship from Milwaukee Psychiatric Hospital and started her first job in Activities at Cedar Lake Home in West Bend. She and her husband wanted to raise their children in Sheboygan County so she took a job and became the Director of Activities at Morningside in Sheboygan. After a year, she was able to join the Sunny Ridge Activities Department. Later, she become the Activity Director there and spent twenty three years at that facility.
For the past twenty eight years, Janine has been very fortunate to work in Life Enrichment/Activity departments that focused on resident centered care. She has always loved what she does, and loves bringing new ideas and experiences to the residents. She has always felt it has been a privilege to take part in their lives.
Janine grew up in the Elkhart Lake area. When growing up she often heard about the quality care Rocky Knoll provided its residents. Janine worked for the County for thirteen and a half years at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home so she knew what great things the county could offer both its staff and residents. She has been married to her husband Richard for thirty three years; together they have two children Felicia and Marquis. Felicia is married to her husband Paul and they have given her three beautiful granddaughters; Mackenzie, Kendal, and Harper. Outside of work, Janine enjoys spending time with her family, getting outdoors, riding motorcycles with her husband, and gardening.
