Rocky Knoll acted quickly to protect the residents and staff from the threat of Covid-19. Screening of staff and essential healthcare providers began on March 9, 2020. On March 12, 2020 we restricted all non-essential visitors. On March 23, 2020, all personnel began wearing N95 masks. Targeted testing of residents and staff occurred throughout March and April with all negative results. On June 1, 2020 we began scheduled mass testing of all residents and all staff, providers, contracted personnel, and volunteers. We have continued to test every two weeks since then in accordance with the State of Wisconsin’s Public Health recommendations for skilled nursing facilities. As of date, we have no positive cases at Rocky Knoll. We will continue to test on a two-week basis until Public Health advises otherwise.

We are working diligently to provide a safe environment for our residents and staff. As the situation has rapidly evolved and continues to change, we are revising policies and procedures to address the issues. We know that this is a difficult time for residents, families, and friends. We have tried to keep everyone informed as we move through this pandemic with the use of mailings, phone calls, inter-facility memos, additional training, and loads of compassion.
