Dear Friends, Family and Volunteers:

We have faced many new challenges this past year and realize we have many more challenges to come with not knowing what the future holds with COVID 19. So far, we have been very successful in keeping our residents and staff safe and will do everything in our power to continue to protect our residents and staff.

As you may be aware, our Life Enrichment Department has been working hard on finding activities for our residents, doing one to one visits and individualized programming. Happy Hour on Wednesdays has become mobile and we are getting some outside time for the residents and trying to get in as much Facetime and Zoom meetings as possible with families.

Our Social Services Department and our Receptionists are working hard at scheduling booth visits for families, our Nursing Department is working hard making sure all of our residents’ needs are met our New Horizon Foods is working on meeting the needs and likes of all of our residents and our Housekeeping Department is working extra hard on keeping our building clean and COVID-19 free.

As a team, we are succeeding in meeting these things but, we want to do more! Our ultimate desire is to allow for as many booth visits as possible, as many Zoom and Facetime calls as we can, and as much outdoor time and 1:1 time as we can give our residents (your family and friends) but in order to meet these needs, we need assistance.

We are currently looking for Limited Term Employees (LTE) for approximately 120 days in the following areas:

Personal Care Assistants: 6 part-time positions at $11.64/hr

Environmental Service Worker (Housekeeper) 1 part-time position, 7:00AM-2:00PM at $14.50/hr

Registered Infection Control Nurse 3 full-time on 1st, 2nd, an 3rd, 1 part-time 1st (wage depends on experience)

*Because these positions are limited term, they are not benefitted however these positions could lead to permanent employment at Rocky Knoll/Sheboygan County.

These positions are only for a short term (approximately 120 days) and could allow more of our residents to have time with their families and friends, making their stay here during this trying time of COVID 19 a little easier. We are looking to you to see if you are interested in possibly applying for these positions or suggest someone else who might be interested.

This is a unique opportunity for anyone who has a family member here to have the ability to see your family member more frequently and to have face to face time vs. a phone call or a booth visit. It is also an even bigger opportunity to allow other residents the chance to have more social time with their loved ones by being able to have an extra booth visit or Facetime call.

If this is something you might be willing to look into, please call Patti Walsdorf at 449-1237 as soon as possible to get more information and set up an interview and apply online. Please feel free to share this information with anyone you know that might be interested.

More information like job descriptions and to apply online, please visit our website at and check us out on Facebook

Thank you for the opportunity to care for your loved ones.
